Who We are?

Bradford Immigrant & Community Services (BICS) is a non-profit organization whose mandate is to facilitate the integration, and to promote the interests of newcomers to Canada.

Our primary objectives are to promote accessibility to services and to ensure that these services are culturally and linguistically appropriate.

MISSION STATEMENT

BICS will strive to provide educational and social services not readily available elsewhere to enable immigrants in the South Simcoe/York Region North area to attain self-sufficiency in Canadian society.

BICS will continue to identify and address the needs of the ethnic communities of South Simcoe/York Region North area.

BICS will work together with individuals and the community in co-operation with institutions and service providers to develop strategies to improve access to, or assist with the creation of culturally and linguistically appropriate services.

VISION STATEMENT

BICS will strive to be a leader in support of our ethno-cultural community. We will continually improve our services through teamwork, staff and client development. We will be a positive influence on the community through our actions and commitment to the community and the people we serve.

BRIEF HISTORY

Bradford Immigrant & Community Services (BICS) is a non-profit organization whose primary objectives are to promote accessibility to services and to ensure that these services are culturally and linguistically appropriate.

BICS opened its doors to the public on January 4, 1994 and operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors.
